Cher completed both her undergraduate work as well as earning a Master’s Degree at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She taught for 7 years in the Public School system and has an extensive background working with families as well as an in-depth understanding of developmental processes.
After moving to the Denver area and raising two sons, she returned to school to obtain another Master’s in Community Counseling from The University of Northern Colorado. She is a licensed professional counselor, a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and The American Counseling Association. In addition, she is a Certified Eating Disorder Therapist in the State of Colorado.
She offers a collaborative approach within a safe context to help people manage normal life experiences which at times can seem overwhelming. She is passionate about helping people recognize strengths where they have been successful in other areas of their lives and empowers them to transfer these skills to areas where they are experiencing difficulties.
